Ledyard Group’s partners include Doug Drum and husband-and-wife team, John Tichotsky and Mary Core. The partnership is committed to bringing high-quality construction, planning and design to Indian and maintaining and enhancing the phenomenal qualities of Turnagain Arm.
The development has enhanced the beauty and traditional character of the Indian Valley. Granite Construction (formerly Wilder Construction Company), was the main contractor for Chugach Park View. The company is one of the most respected contractors in Alaska and is well-known for delivering high-quality work, on-time. The company is successful in providing quality construction in remote areas and was ideal for working in Indian, Alaska. F. Robert Bell & Associates (FRBA) provided surveying and engineering services and brought the project from the preliminary platting process through completion. F. Robert Bell & Associates continues to provide engineering and surveying services to the project. The roads are well-designed and well-built, taking the terrain into account. The terrain consists of gentle graduated benches of land, ideal for placing quality homes. Many of the lots have views in several directions. Many of the fine trees remain in place. In planning and building the subdivision a premium is always placed on quality.
In addition to the romance of the area being a last wilderness in the Anchorage Municipality, the area also has an historic quality, since it was the area near the terminus that Captain Cook and crew-members explored in their search of the Norwest Passage. George Vancouver served Cook as midshipman and later returned to lead his own expedition that refined the maps of the Cook Inlet. John Ledyard, a Royal Marine, on Cook’s expedition, was on the small boat expedition that went up the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet. Ledyard was America’s first explorer and became famous for, at the suggestion of Thomas Jefferson, walking across Siberia. The name of our LLC and one of the street names commemorates America’s first explorer and the first American to visit Alaska - John Ledyard. Chugach Park View captures Ledyard’s spirit of refined, American adventure in a contemporary context.
Ledyard Group is proud to be represented by Terry Beal (Dynamic Properties) and John Blaine (Prudential Jack White/Vista Real Estate) two leaders in Anchorage’s real estate marketing.

Doug Drum is a well-known small business owner who owns Indian Valley Meats. He has lived in Indian since 1976 and likes to fly his float planes, hunt, and fish in Alaska.
